page 12, 13, 14,15 & 19 - Joseph Waltz & Marie Steckbauer

Joseph Waltz and Marie Steckbauer were so loved. This is their wedding picture taken 1909 in Chicago, IL unsure of the actual date. I am aware that the scrap page says 1911 I have made the correction to it. :) This is a 1930 Census of the Waltz family. Is shows that Joseph F (41 years), wife Marie (39 years), Joseph (19 yrs), William (19 yrs), Stanley F ( 17 yrs), Amelia (12 yrs), Margaret (7 yrs) and Norma (7 yrs) They owned their home at 4228 Henderson Ave. Chicago, IL. valued at $8000. Joseph married Marie when he was 21 and she was 19 years old. Joseph came from Russia and Marie came from Austria. They both spoke German in the home before they came to America in 1906. Joseph Sr. was a machinist at a Cash Register Factory and Joseph Jr, William, & Stanley were apprentices

page 16 &17 - Marie Steckbauer - Waltz

Marie Katherine Steckbauer and Joseph F. Waltz were married in 1909 in Chicago, IL. She was born in Galitzia, Germany. I just love the fancy hats.
I found and purchased Marie's certificate of death. It revealed her Mother's name which was not known to us. It is Margaret Peterson. Her father is Anton Steckbauer. Marie was born November 30, 1890 and passed away July 15, 1967 at the age of 76 in Tampa, Florida.

page 46, 47, & 48 - Rose Steckbauer & John Egerer


1930 Census: (taken April 18, 1930) John & Rose Egereer lived at 2854 Armitage Ave,.Chicago, IL renting for $30 a month. They owned a radio, John was 23 when they were married and Rose was 21. Immigrated in 1922. John was born in Germany as were both his parents. Rose was born in Poland, as were both er parents. John is a baker in a bakery shop.
They are buried at St. Joseph Cemetary, River Grove, IL
